The abuse puts Sarah in a strange spot as she is warned by her family not to leave. Kola's family dislikes her for not meeting the standards of a girl they expect Kola, a rich boy to be with. When Kola dies, his mother, Uduak Ademola finally has a reason to crush Sarah and she does.
